Route 110 for approximately 3 miles. Turn right onto Melville Road to
entrance #2. Roosevelt Hall is on the Right.
Southern State Parkway - to Exit 32 - Route 110. Travel north on
Route 110, approximately 3 miles. Turn left at the College sign onto
Melville Road. Roosevelt Hall is on the Right.
Long Island Expressway - to Exit 49 South (Route 110). Travel south
on Route 110, approximately 2 miles. Turn right onto Melville Road to

The Long Island GreenFest at SUNY Farmingdale
A Weekend Celebration of All Things Green
Farmingdale, NY, January 10, 2010 – The Long Island GreenFest will be held on the Campus
of Farmingdale University (SUNY Farmingdale) on Saturday and Sunday, February 6 and 7,
2010. The two day festival will take place at Roosevelt Hall and is going to be a Celebration of
all things Green on Long Island. The GreenFest will showcase renewable energy exhibits,
green living ideas, green building and some natural and hand-crafted products.
”We are so happy to be able to hold the GreenFest at this wonderful facility here at SUNY
Farmingdale,” said Deborah Dufton the event organizer, “What a great centralized location
for all Long Islanders to have fun and learn ways to live a healthier lifestyle.”
A long list of exhibitors will be attending the event from many different Green walks of life
including: Renewable Energy, Green Kids, Organic and Natural Products, Natural Health and
Beauty, Green Building, Green Living, Earth Friendly Fashion, Waste Reduction, Health and
Beauty, Local Businesses, and Non-Profit Organizations.
There will be exhibits, several live bands, a World Record Holding Contortionist, a Hula Hoop
Dancer, NY Islanders Mascot Sparky, Salsa Dancers, Valley Stream High School performing
the Chinese Lion Dance (Chinese New Year that weekend), and so much more.
“The GreenFest celebrates the latest green solutions in a fun and informative way."
Interactive displays, hands on demonstrations and lots of ‘positive green energy’ as people
learn about ways to live a healthier and sustainable lifestyle,” said Dufton, “It will be a
weekend of good green fun for all.”
The GreenFest is brought to SUNY by the award winning producers of the East End
GreenFest, which was voted “Event of the Year” by the readers of Dan’s Papers.
The show runs from 11-6 on Saturday and 11-5 on Sunday. Admission is FREE to students
with ID and all kids are FREE. Adults $3.
